Relay Overview

Each relay team member will run one 6.5 mile leg of the race. After the first team member completes their leg of the race, the second team member will start their leg. The relay team whose second team member crosses the finish line first wins the competition.

Tip: Estimate your teammate's pace and wear a watch. Have an idea of when your teammate will arrive in the Relay Exchange Zone.

Timing

You will receive a single team bib & belt at packet pickup. The team bib & belt will be passed off between team members at the Relay Exchange Zone at the halfway point on the course. Your team bib has to cross the timing point at the Relay Exchange Zone for your team to receive a finishing time. The team bib & belt is the Official Baton for the course and can only be passed between team members in the designated Relay Exchange Zone.

Relay Packet Pickup

Your Official Team Bib can be found inside your team's packet at Packet Pickup. A member from your team needs to bring a copy of your team's registration confirmation or a photo ID to be able to pick up your team's packet. The registration confirmation can be printed or in an email – we just need to see it. Please make sure you bring both items, because we don't like having the "I didn't know I had to bring that and I drove X miles just to get here" conversation just as much as you.

Picking Up Someone Else's Packet

In order to pick up another participant’s packet, you must either bring a printed copy or email on a mobile device of their registration confirmation.

Release & Indemnity Agreement

If you are under 18, your Release & Indemnity Agreement must be signed by your legal guardian and brought with you to a packet pickup.

If you are under 18 and registered online for the race, your Release & Indemnity form was not completed. Don't forget to bring a signed copy with you.

Race Distances

The Half Marathon is split into two equidistant legs. Each leg is 6.55 miles long (a half-half marathon).

Wristbands

Each team member will receive a wristband which gives them access to the Exchange Zone.

Transportation
